Hawkeye will be changing textbook vendors beginning with the Summer 2024 term. Due to this change, all textbook materials must be returned by Friday, May 10, 2024. Your Hawkeye Account will be charged for any materials not returned and you will be responsible for paying for them.

Hawkeye Bookstore, currently owned and operated by Barnes and Noble College and located in the Brock Student Center, is your place for official Hawkeye Community College textbooks, gear, and supplies.
Hawkeye is discontinuing this program after the Spring 2024 semester. We are moving to an online bookstore beginning Summer 2024.
First Day Complete (formerly Box of Books) Textbook Rental Program
The First Day Complete textbook rental program is designed to save you time and money and ensure you have all your textbooks and course materials for each of your classes prior to the first day of class.
Through the First Day Complete textbook rental program the Hawkeye Bookstore does all the shopping for you and puts together a package of physical books and digital material for each of your courses prior to the first day of class.
Upon registration for Spring 2024 classes students are automatically enrolled in the First Day Complete textbook rental program, however, students can choose to opt-out and purchase their textbooks and course materials themselves.

Beginning with the Summer 2024 term, Hawkeye will transition course material services to a new bookstore model where you order your textbooks online. Physical items will be delivered to you by mail while digital access information is emailed. The new platform is designed to provide you with affordable course materials, convenience, and choice.
The Hawkeye Online Bookstore website is not yet live, but will be soon. You will be contacted once the website is live.
